What exactly happens at the Document Box Build Workshop?

You arrive at our Patong Beach Road atelier and spend roughly half a day assembling a physical storage box. A facilitator helps you label categories — identification documents, employment history, family correspondence, and so on. All materials are provided. You leave with a completed, labelled box and a printed master index. The facilitator does not read or interpret your documents; they simply help you create a structure.

Is the reading circle suitable for someone who hasn't read much recently?

Completely. The circle is small and informal. Each month a printed reading guide arrives by post with a selection of articles or excerpts. You read at your own pace during the month, then join the group to share whatever you found interesting. There is no expectation to have read everything, and no test at the end.

What does a read-aloud visit actually involve?

A visitor comes to your home for one hour. You choose which letters, bills, or documents you would like read aloud. The reader reads clearly and calmly; you listen or follow along. The reader does not explain the meaning of documents, make recommendations, or offer any form of advice. Think of it as a companionable reading session — the kind a friend might offer.

Do you offer any form of financial or legal guidance?

No. Anchor Decade is an educational and document-organisation service. Our facilitators and readers are not registered advisers of any kind. If a document requires professional interpretation, we will say so and suggest you consult the appropriate registered professional in Thailand.

What areas do you serve for home visits?

Our read-aloud visits currently cover Phuket island, including Patong, Kathu, Rawai, Chalong, and Kamala. If you are located elsewhere on the island, please write to us and we will confirm availability for your area.

How do I pay, and what is the cancellation arrangement?

Payment details and terms are shared at the time of booking. We ask for a short notice period for cancellations — the exact arrangement depends on the service and is stated in the booking confirmation. We work with individual circumstances and appreciate straightforward communication.
